The LORD tells Habakkuk to write his vision and make it plain on tables. But, what exactly does that mean? If we simply write or tell the vision as it happened, the reader or those listening still don’t understand what to do with it. So, the words, “Make it Plain” becomes very important. The dictionary defines “Plain” as conveying the meaning clearly and simply; easily understood: to make one's meaning plain. What the LORD then is telling Habakkuk is to write the interpreted version on tables so that everyone who reads it understands what to do with it. Especially because, most visions and dreams are symbolic. See Numbers 12:6. Here are a couple of books to get you on the road to better understanding your visions & dreams.

The prophet Joel predicted that in the last days God would pour out His Spirit on believers, and young people would see visions and old people would dream dreams. We need to learn the ancient language of dreams and the biblical importance of how to properly interpret them. In this book, we give numerous examples of God speaking though dreams and visions. We will also look at the dreams of Abraham and the Persian Magi given in extra-biblical documents. I included a small selection of dreams I have had over the years. We will look at these carefully and see patterns that will help us learn the language of God.
Ken Johnson has a down to earth, yet—analytical way of conveying understanding dreams.
Jane Hamon’s book was one of the first books I picked up in the study of Dream language. She has strong foundational teaching and easy to understand.
